The National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) was formed in November 1993 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Earth Sciences. Its main work is to develop reliable indigenous technology to solve the various engineering problems associated with harvesting of non-living and living resources in the Indian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), which is about two-thirds of the land area of India.

4. Project Accounts Officer
   No. of posts : 1
   Pay scale : Rs. 39400 – 44600/- Consolidated
5. Project Senior Assistant
   No. of posts: 1
   Pay scale: Rs. 24900 – 28200/- consolidated
6. Project Junior Assistant ( Hindi )
   No. of posts: 1
   Pay scale: Rs. 13000 – 14700/- consolidated
