The Khadi and Village Industries Commission ( KVIC ) was setup in 1957. The main objective of KVIC is to provide employment to all and to create self-reliance amongst the poor and building up of a strong rural community spirit. It also has the responsibility of planning, promotion, organisation and implementation of programs for the development of Khadi and other village industries in the rural areas in coordination with other agencies engaged in rural development wherever necessary.

KVIC invites applications for various posts from Indian Nationals who are below 35 years of age and with at least 8 years of experience in supervisory or managerial position in any department of the Central Government or a State Government or in any recognized Organisation :

Salary for each post: PB-2 ( Rs. 9,300-34,800/- with GP of Rs. 5,400/-)

1. Assistant Director ( General Administration )
   No. of posts: 8
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Bachelors degree in Law or Masters degree in any stream OR Graduation with Diploma in Co-operation or Education or Journalism  And Masters Degree in Business Administration or Personnel Management or Administrative Management or Marketing Management or Computer Science is desirable.
2. Assistant Director ( Khadi )
   No. of posts: 2
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Bachelors Degree in Textile Technology or Textile Chemistry or Textile Manufacturing or masters degree in any stream .
3. Accounts Officer
   No. of posts: 1
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Masters/Bachelors Degree in Commerce and Registration as a Chartered Accountant or a Cost Accountant is desirable.
4. Assistant Director (Village Industries)
   No. of posts: 4
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Masters Degree in Chemistry or Botany or Bachelors Degree in Paper Technology or Silicate Technology or Food Technology or Sugar Technology or Oil Technology or Fuel Technology or Leather Technology or Ceramic Technology or Chemical Technology or Agriculture or Ayurvedic Medicines or Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering .
5. Research Officer
   No. of posts: 1
   Qualifications : Candidate should have Masters/Bachelors Degree in Economics or Statistics or Commerce and Masters Degree in Business Administration or Personnel Management or Administrative Management or Marketing Management or Computer Science is desirable.
