The Central Silk Board ( CSB ) was established in 1949 . Its headquarter is located in Bangalore. It want India to emerge as the no. one in the world market of silks and it promotes the development of the silk industry by all appropriate measures, and for this purpose. It make continuous efforts in Research and Development and Technology Transfer and create greater opportunities for gainful employment and improved levels of income in sericulture through spread of scientific sericulture practices.

Applications are invited by Central silk Board for the various posts and the details are :

1. 1 post is for Senior Librarian and Information Assistant
   Age limit: Maximum 30 years
   Pay scale: PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800/- with GP of Rs.4200/-
   Qualifications: Candidates should have masters degree in any stream and should have computer knowledge with experience.
2. 5 posts are for Assistants
   Age limit: Maximum 30 years
   Pay scale: PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800/- with GP of Rs.4200/-
   Qualifications: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Commerce/ Arts / Bachelor of Law and and at least 5 years of office experience is required.
3. 1 post is for Assistant ( Technical )
   Age limit: Maximum 30 years
   Pay scale: PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800/- with GP of Rs.4200/-
   Qualifications: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50%
   marks in Entomology/ Zoology / Botany / Agriculture / Sericulture / Chemistry or an equivalent qualification .
4. 1 post is for Artists
   Age limit: Maximum 30 years
   Pay scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200/- with GP of Rs. 2400/-
   Qualification: Candidate should have bachelors degree with Diploma in Commercial Arts.
5. 2 posts are for Upper Division Clerk
   Age limit: Maximum 25 years
   Pay scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200/- with GP of Rs. 2400/-
   Qualification: Candidate should have bachelors degree in any stream and have passed Junior Grade Typewriting examination conducted by State Technical Education Board with a speed of 30 words per minute in English Typewriting.
6. 72 post are for Field Assistants
   Age limit: Maximum 25 years
   Pay scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200/- with GP of Rs. 2000/-
   Qualification: Candidate should have Diploma in Sericulture or an equivalent qualification and experience is desirable.
7. 20 posts are for Lower Division Clerk
   Age limit: Maximum 25 years
   Pay scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200/- with GP of Rs. 1900/-
   Qualification: Candidate should have passed Matriculation exam and Junior Grade Typewriting examination conducted by State Technical Education Board with a speed of
   30 words per minute in English Typewriting.
8. 14 posts are for Assistant Technicians
   Age limit: Maximum 25 years
   Pay scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200/- with GP of Rs. 1800/-
   Qualification: Candidate should have diploma or I. T. I. Certificate or equivalent in the field of Sericulture/ Agriculture / Horticulture.
9. 2 posts are for Scientists B
   Age limit: Maximum 40 years
   Pay scale: PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs. 5400/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Zoology/Botany/ Entomology/Agriculture/Agronomy/Chemistry/ Sericulture wit at least 5 years of Research experience as evidenced by Research Publications in reputed journals.
