The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is an Indian paramilitary force conceived on October 24, 1962 for security along the India’s border with the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. The ITBP is trained in mountaineering, disaster management and nuclear, biological and chemical disasters. ITBP’s function is provide security to sensitive installations and threatened VIP’s, Check illegal immigration and trans-border smuggling, Vigil on the northern borders, detection and prevention of border violations and promotion of the sense of security. ITBP’s major training centres is located at Mussoorie in Utarakhand. The training Academy has been established in 1976. ITBP conducts a large number of civil action programmes in remote border and terrorist affected areas to provide free and expert medical, health and hygiene care to the civilian populations in remote villages. ITBP Academy has been given the status of ‘Centre of Excellence’ by the Government of India.

Applications are invited for the following positions :

Head Constable (Midwife)
Posts: 30 (UR-12, OBC-18)
Age limit: Candidates should be between 18-25 years.
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.5200-20200.
Qualification: Candidates should have pass Matriculation examination from a recognized Board or equivalent. Candidates should have Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery course from a recognized Institution. Registered in Nursing Council of Central Government or State Government.
Recruitment Centres: 1. Chandigarh ITBP 2. CH(CRPF) Pallipuram (Kerla)

Note: Upper age limit is relaxable up to 3 years for OBC Candidates and for SC/ST relaxation as per Govt instructions. Relaxation for government servant up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions / orders issued by the Central Government. The Posts are temporary but likely to become permanent.
