Intelligence Bureau ( IB ) India Recruitment 2010


The Intelligence Bureau is the world’s oldest intelligence agency. It is used to garner intelligence from within India and also execute counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism tasks. Due to the extreme secrecy surrounding the agency, there is little concrete information available about it or its activities.

The Intelligence Bureau ( IB ) invites applications from Indian Nationals for the following posts :

Last date for the receipt of application : 7th September 2010

  1. Junior Intelligence Officer / MT
    No. of vacancies : 140 posts
    Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 32 years of age.
    pay scale : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.2400/-
    Qualification : Candidate should have passed Matriculation exam with the Knowledge of Motor Mechanism and should have valid Motor driving License.
    Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience of driving a motor car.
  2. SA / MT
    No. of vacancies : 48 posts
    Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 30 years of age.
    Pay scale :     PB-1 Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.2000/-
    Qualification : Candidate should have passed Matriculation exam and should posses valid driving license for Light Motor Vehicle .

Selection Procedure : Candidate will be called for a test of motor mechanism and driving test followed by an interview at selected places to be decided by the Bureau.
Note : Interested candidate should send application form in a prescribed format to Intelligence Bureau (IB) , Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. The envelope containing the application must be superscribed in bold letters as “Application to the post of JIO-II/MT in IB”

    i have attemped last secuirity assistant exam on 26-sep-2010 and i will wait the result.

    Respected sir,
    I hv appeared in ACIO exam held in july.pls do inform whether or not the result has been declared. I haven’t got any confirmation regarding this.m still waiting for my selection.

    I am an Indian citizen living abroad.
    I am very much interested in serving my nation anywhere abroad.
    All i can say that i speak Spanish and little Arabic.
    I have a degree in accounting from the U.S. and work for a firm.
    I work around a lot of different nationalities, which helps me to
