Incorporated as Indian Oil Company Ltd. on 30.06.1959, it was renamed as Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. on 1.09.1964. Haldia Refinery, one of the eight operating refineries of Indian Oil, was commissioned in Jan 1975. Its main objective is to serve the national interests in oil and related sectors in accordance and consistent with government policies.

Applications are invited for the following positions at Indian Oil Corporation, Haldia Refinery:

1. Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV-(Production) Chemical
Posts: 8
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.5400-10850
Qualification: Candidates should be B.Sc with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or 3 years Diploma in Chemical Engg.
Experience: Candidates should have one year experience in the relevant field.
2. Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV-(P&U) Mechanical
Posts: 6
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.5400-10850
Qualification: Candidates should be B.Sc with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Candidates should have one year experience in the relevant field.
3. Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV-(Electrical) 
Posts: 3
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.5400-10850
Qualification: Candidates should have 3 yrs. Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: Candidates should have one year experience in the relevant field.
4. Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (Fire & Safety)
Posts: 2
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.5400-10850
Qualification: Candidates should be Matric (preferably B.sc with Phy, Chemistry, & Math ) with sub-officers course from NFSC-Nagpur or any equivalent course of same duration with HMV Licence.
Experience: Candidates should have two years of experience in the relevant field.
5. Assistant Chemist ( Quality Control)
Posts: 4
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.6300-13000.
Qualification: Candidates should be B.Sc (H) in Chemistry.
Experience: Candidates should have 4 years of experience in the relevant.
6. Chemical Attendant-III (Quality Control)
Posts: 5
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.5000-9800.
Qualification: Candidates should be HS (Physics, Chemistry & Maths ) or B.Sc (Physics, Chemistry & Maths)
Experience: Candidates should have 3 years experience in the relevant field and no experience in case of B.Sc
7. Pharmacist-IV (Medical)
Posts: 1
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.5400-10850.
Qualification: Candidates should have diploma in Pharmacy from recognized University, Institute/ College.
Experience: Candidates should have 2 years experience in the relevant field.

Note: Candidates should be between 18-32 years as on 30.04.2010 and relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC Candidates.
