The Indian Navy was established by East India Company in 17th Century. This force is also known as the Bombay Marine, the Indian Navy, and the Indian Marine. Head quarter of Indian Navy is located in New Delhi. The Chief of Naval Staff is the commander of this office. The Indian navy is deployed under three area commands, each headed by a flag officer. In the spirit of international military cooperation, India has made moves in the early and mid-1990s to enhance joint-nation interoperability. Indian naval exercises have taken place with ships from the Russian navy and those of Indian Ocean littoral states and other nations, including the United States.

Indian Navy invites applications for Short Service Commission (SSC) as PILOTS in the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy.
This post is for Course Commencing Jan 2011 at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala and interested candidate has to be unmarried.

* SSC Officer as PILOT
Age limit : 19-23 years .
Height & weight: Candidate should have the minimum height of 162.5 cm with correlated weight.
Eye sight: Candidate should posses minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Should not be colour/night blind.
Qualifications: Candidate should be graduate with at least 65% marks and should be 12th pass in maths and physics.

Last date for the submission of application form: 13th April 2010.
