Indian Navy Recruitment 2010


On India attaining Independence, the Royal Indian Navy consisted of 32 ageing vessels suitable only for coastal patrol, along with 11000 officers and men. The prefix ‘Royal’ was dropped on 26 January 1950 with India being constituted as a Republic.

Applications are invited from Unmarried Male Candidates to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala under 10+2 Cadet (B Tech) Entry Scheme.

Eligibility Conditions
Age limit: Candidates should be between 17-19.5 years.
Qualification: Candidates should pass Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent from University/Board with minimum 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII)
Physical Standards
Height and Weight : Candidates should have a minimum height 157 cms with correlated weight as per age.
Eye Sight : Candidates minimum acceptable vision standard for distant 6/12, 6/12 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.
