Indian Air Force Vacancy 2010


Indian Air Force was established as an auxiliary air force of the RAF with the enactment of the Indian Air Force Act of 1932. The Indian Air Force is divided into five operational and two functional commands. Each Command is headed by an Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief with the rank of Air Marshal. With strength of approximately 170,000 and 1,550 aircraft in active service, the Indian Air Force is the world’s fourth largest.

Indian Air Force invites applications from  eligible Candidates for fulfilling careers in the Flying Branch of the Indian Air Force for the following courses:

NO. 7 Short Service Commission ( Men) Flying (Pilot) Course.
NO. 36 Short Service Commission (Women) Flying (Pilot) Course.
Age Criteria:
Candidate should be between 19 to 23 years and should be Unmarried Indian Citizen.
Qualification: Candidate should be graduate in any discipline including BE/BTech with first division. Candidate must have Math and Physics at 10+2 level. Final year Student may also apply, provided the would qualify for the degree with first division aggregate and should provide provision/original degree certificate latest by 15.12.2010.
Height and Weight: Candidate should have minimum height 162.5 cm with correlated weight and leg length in the range of 99cms (Min) and 120 cms (Max)
Remuneration: Candidate will get remuneration of Rs.15600-39100
Last Date: 6th April 2010
Last Date: 13th April 2010 for Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep & Minicoy Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Nagaland and Mizoram.
