The Institute of Mathematics and Applications ( IMA ) was established by Govt. of Orissa on the 27th May 1999. The Institute started functioning in a room of Pathani Samanta Planetarium, Acharya Vihar, Bhubaneswar. The aim of the institution is to undertake fundamental research in Mathematics and its Applications, To establish a Multi-purpose Documentation-cum-Library Centre with Multi-purpose computing facility, To undertake and support inter-disciplinary research through interaction between Mathematicians and Physical / Biological / Engineering /Social Scientists, To organize publication of research journals /monographs / proceedings / papers in Mathematics and applications,To investigate into India’s mathematical traditions etc. Institute of Mathematics and Applications has been making an all out effort to improve the culture of Mathematics problem solving at school level.

Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration as per UGC norms approved by State Government.
Qualification & Experience: Candidates should be an eminent scholar with having at least 10 years of experience in post graduate teaching and experience of guiding research at doctoral level and actively engaged in research. or candidate should be an outstanding scholar with established reputation who has made significant. In exceptional cases candidates those having at least 15 years of Under Graduate teaching experience at honours level/ research could also be considered.

Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration as per UGC norms approved by State Government.
Qualification & Experience: Candidates should have good academic record with doctoral or equivalent published work. Candidates who are from outside the university system should have addition to these, a relevant Master Degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade of B in seven point scale with latter grades OABCDEF. Candidates should have at least 5 years of teaching/ research experience in the relevant field.
