IISER Thiruvananthapuram Vacancy 2010
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research ( IISER ) Thiruvananthapuram was setup in 2008 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It is dedicated to scientific research and science education of international standards. It is situated in the Computer Science building of the College of Engineering, Trivandrum.
Applications are invited by IISER Thiruvananthapuram for the following posts:
- 1 post for Assistant Registrar
Age limit: Maximum 45 years
Pay scale: PB – 3 Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with GP of Rs. 5400/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have masters degree with at least 55% marks with 8 years of relevant experience in Establishment & Administration/Service conditions/ Academic administration / Examination Branch/ Students affairs in Government or Autonomous Research / Educational Institutions fully funded by the Government or University. - 1 post for Scientific Officer
Age limit: Maximum 45 years
Pay scale: PB – 3 Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with GP of Rs. 5400/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have the degree of B.E / B.Tech OR M.E./M.Tech in computer science Engineering or Electronics & Communication with experience of designing and setting up a large institutional computer network including wireless networks. - 2 posts are for Personal Assistant
Age limit: Maximum 40 years
Pay scale: PB – 2 Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with GP of Rs. 4200/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have bachelors degree with proficiency in Stenography and Computer key depression speed equivalent to 60 w.p.m and diploma or certificate in Computer and Office applications with 5 years of experience in the relevant field. - 2 posts are for Accountant
Age limit: Maximum 40 years
Pay scale: PB – 2 Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with GP of Rs. 4200/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have scored 55% marks in M.Com with 3 years of experience in Accounts/Budget/Audit in Government or Autonomous Research / Educational Institutions fully funded by the Government or University or an Institution of Repute, handling day to day financial activities. - 1 post for Office Assistant ( Multi Skill )
Age limit: Maximum 40 years
Pay scale: PB – 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2800/-
Qualifications: Candidates should have bachelors degree with Computer key depression speed equivalent to 60 W.P.M and 3 years of experience in office procedure like maintenance of files, noting, drafting, diary, dispatch, other general administrative/accounts functions in a computerized environment, and handling office automation equipment / instruments etc. in Government or Autonomous Research/Educational Institution. - 2 post for Technical Assistant
Age limit: Maximum 40 years
Pay scale: PB – 2 Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with GP of Rs. 4200/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have done B.E /B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering with experience in Government or Autonomous Research/Educational Institution fully funded by the Government or University or an Institution of Repute, in areas such as installation and running of scientific software packages on various platforms. Should have proficiency in HTML, Web design, Educational instructional software. - 1 post for Junior Engineer
Age limit: Maximum 40 years
Pay scale: PB – 2 Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with GP of Rs. 4200/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have Diploma in Civil Engineering with 1st class and 3 years of relevant experience . - 1 post for Library Information Technology

Qualifications: Candidate should have Master Degree in Library Science and preference will be given to candidates with Diploma in Computer Applications/Library Automation and Networking.
