The Government of India, through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), has established five Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER). Each IISER is an autonomous institution giving its own Master and Doctoral Degrees. These institutions are located in Bhopal, Mohali, Pune, Kolkata and Thiruvanatapuram. The IISER Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. IISER Pune was established in 2006. IISER builds student skills in areas such as scientific inquiry, problem solving, communication skills, computational science, electronics etc. IISER plans to develop advanced teaching and research labs where students can show their talents.

IISER Pune invites applications for the following positions :

Scientist – D
Posts: 2
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 40 years as on 14.06.2010
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.15600-39100.
Qualification: Candidates should be Ph.D in Life Science/Physics/Chemistry/Computational body.
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 3 years research experience after Ph.D.
Technical Officer- C/Scientists-C
Posts: 2
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 35 years.
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.15600-39100.
Qualification: Candidates should be Ph.D in Life Science/ Bio informatics / Statistics /Physics/Computer Science / Computational body.
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 1 year of research experience after Ph.D
Research Associate
Posts: 5
Remuneration Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.16000.
Qualification: Candidates should be Ph.D in any area of life sciences.
Junior Research Fellow
Posts: 6
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.12000.
Qualification: Candidates should be M.Sc. in any are of life science with minimum 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test.
