The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) was established in 1953 It provides leadership in Scientific an Technical areas of direct importance to the national development and economy. It is the no. one & the leading recognised professional society devoted to the advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication & IT. IETE is managed by a Council comprising of 38 members elected from among the fellow members of the Institution. The term of a member is for a period of 3 years and seven members retire every year. Its headquarter is situated in New Delhi.

IETE invites applications for the following professionals on contract basis :

1. Secretary General
   Emolument : Rs. 75000/- ( Consolidated )
   Age limit :Minimum 45 years
   Qualification : Candidate should have the degree of engineering in Electronics, Telecommunications or computer Science or its equivalent .
   Experience : At least 15 years of experience in a post of managerial responsibility, of which at least 5 years should be at a superior level in government, Educational, Professional or Industrial Organisation.
2. Deputy Managing Editor
   Emolument : Rs. 40000/- consolidated
   Age limit : Minimum 35 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses the degere of BE/ B.Tech in Electronics/Telecommunication/Computer Science (Engineering)/IT or equivalent degree or M.Sc (Physics with Electronics)
   Experience : At least 7 years of experience out of which 1-2 yrs in editing of Technical Journals. Should have good working knowledge of computers.
3. Assistant Secretary ( Academics )
   Emolument : Rs. 40000/- consolidated
   Age limit : Minimum 35 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses the degere of BE/B Tech in Electronics/Telecommunications/ Computer Science/It or equivalent degree or MSc (Physics with Electronics) .
   Experience : Minimum 7 years of experience..
4. Technical Officers
   Emoluments : Rs. 28000/- consolidated
   Age limit : Minimum 30 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses the degere of BE/ B.Tech in Electronics/Telecommunication/Computer Science (Engineering)/IT or equivalent degree or M.Sc (Physics with Electronics)
   Experience : At least 7 years of experience out of which 1-2 yrs in editing of Technical Journals. Should have good working knowledge of computers.
5. Proof Reader
   Emolument : Rs. 14000/- consolidated
   Age limit : Minimum 25 years
   Qualification : Candidate should be graduate in Science stream with maths / Physics.
   Experience : At least 3 years of experience in proof reading of technical books/journals.
