Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) was formed in December 2006. It is a fast upcoming power generating utility with all the Technical and Organizational capabilities at par with other generating companies like NTPC/SJVNL/NHPC. Its main duty is to plan, promote and organize the development of all aspects of hydroelectric power on behalf of Himachal Pradesh State Government and Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB) in Himachal Pradesh. It also tries its best to meet the challenges of dynamically transforming business and environment to build a sustainable relationship with the stakeholders for maximum benefits and economic growth by achieving performance excellence. The main target of HPPCL is to develop 3000 MW Power generating capacity by March 2017 and; 5000 MW by the year 2022.

HPPCL Shimla invites applications from Indian Nationals for the post of JO ( Geology ) on regular basis and the details are as under :

JO ( Geology )

Place of posting : Anywhere in Himachal Pradesh
Pay scale : PB –3 Rs. 10900 – 34800/-
Age limit : Minimum 18 years and Maximum 45 years
Qualification : Candidate should posses the degree of MA/M.Sc. in Geology from any recognized Institutions / Universities in India .

Last date for the receipt of application is 13th August 2010
