The Himachal Pradesh University – a wholly financed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh and the University Grants Commission, New Delhi established on 22nd July 1970. Apart from an International Centre for Distance Education and Open Learning, a University Evening College, a University College of Business Studies, a Regional Centre at Dharamshala and nearly 80 affiliated Under-graduate, Post-graduate, engineering, medical, dental, education and Sanskrit colleges, the Himachal Pradesh University has 27 Teaching Departments offering various courses.

HP University invites applications for the post of Clerks on contract basis and the details are as follows :

Clerks
no. of posts : 23 ( UR – 7, SC – 6, ST – 3, OBC – 7 )
Pay scale : Rs. 7810/- per month
Age limit : Minimum 18 and maximum 45 years of age.
Qualification : Candidate should have passed 12th examination and should posses a speed of 30
WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi typewriting with knowledge of Computer Application related to office work. And should also have the knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Himachal Pradesh. Candidates already in service should sent their applications through proper channel.

Last date for the receipt of application : 15th September 2010
Application fees : Indian Postal Order of Rs. 300/- drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla -5 payable at Shimla
