Heavy Water Board ( HWB ) is a unit of Department of Atomic Energy and it came into effect from 17th February 1989. It has the capability to supply heavy water of any specification as per demand from anywhere in the world. It is operating 6 Heavy Water Plants in the country . HWB has mastered the complex production technology using two chemical exchange processes viz. (H₂S-H₂O) bi-thermal process and NH₃-H₂ mono thermal process.

HWB invites applications for the following posts with :

Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/-
Age limit : candidate should not be more than 40 years of age .
Location of vacancy : Heavy Water Board and Heavy Water Plants.

1. Technical Officer / Engineer ‘ D ‘ ( Chemical )
   No. of posts : 14
   Qualification : candidate should have the degree of B.E. / B.TECH (Chemical) with at least 60% marks.
   Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in Designing, Engineering Project Execution, Operation of large scale caustic Chlorine (Chlor-Alkali) Industry / Fertilizer Plants / Petrochemical Industry/ Pharmaceutical Complex involving Driers, Crystallizers, Electrolysis, Filters etc /Water de-mineralisation Plant /Utility Systems of large Chemical Industry.
2. Technical Officer / Engineer ‘ D ‘ ( Mechanical )
   No. of posts : 11
   Qualification : Candidate should posses the degree of B.E. / B.TECH (Mechanical ) with at least 60% marks.
   Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in Design, Engineering Project Execution, Maintenance of Equipments / Machinery etc., in a large scale Caustic Chlorine (Chlor-Alkali) Industry/ Fertilizer plants/ Petro-chemical Complex. Candidate with the knowledge in material of Construction and Repair & Maintenance of Rubber Lined Vessels will be preferred.
3. Technical Officer / Engineer ‘ D ‘ ( Electrical )
   No. of posts : 4
   Qualification : Candidate should posses the degree of B.E. / B.TECH ( Electrical ) with at least 60% marks.
   Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in Design, Engineering Project Execution, Operation of Power Distribution System with a Large Industrial Unit / Molten Salt Electrolysis / High Temperature Furnaces/ Metal Processing Industry/ Large Scale Manufacturing Industry.
4. Technical Officer / Engineer ‘ D ‘ ( Instrumentation )
   No. of posts : 5
   Qualification : Candidate should posses the degree of B.E. / B.TECH ( Instrumentation / Electronics ) with at least 60% marks.
   Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in Designing, Engineering Project Execution, Maintenance of Instruments (including control system involving DCS) in a Large Process Industry like Fertilizer Complex/ Petrochemical Complex or a large Thermal Power Plant
5. Technical Officer / Engineer ‘ D ‘ ( Civil )
   No. of posts : 4
   Qualification : Candidate should posses the degree of B.E. in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks  .
   Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in or MS ( Structure ) and 2 years of experience in Design of Industrial Structure both of RCC and Structural Steel of Large Spans and Height, Foundations of Dynamic Equipment and having experience to carry out analysis as per Seismic Wind and other relevant codes.
6. Technical Officer / Engineer ‘ D ‘ ( Chemistry )
   No. of posts : 1
   Qualification : Candidate should posses the degree of M.Sc ( Chemistry ) with at least 60% marks.
   Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in Quality Control Laboratory for estimation of Quality Control Parameters using Conventional & Advanced Analytical techniques such as use of UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Gas Chromatograph (GC-HPLC), Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS), Infra red Spectrophotometer (IR), Mass Spectrometer (MS), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectrometer etc.
