The Goa Public Service Commission ( GPSC ) is established by the Constitution of India on 30th May 1988. It conduct examinations for appointments to the civil services of the State of Goa. Dr. J.C. Alemeida, IAS (Retired) was appointed as the first Chairman of the Goa Public Service Commission.

GPSC invites applications for the following positions and the details are as following :

1. Lecturer in Medicine
   No. of posts : 2
   Place of posting : Goa Medical College
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with GP of Rs. 6600/-
   Age limit : Maximum 45 years
   Qualification : Candidate should hold recognized Medical qualification included in the First or
   the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and should also have PG degree in concerned speciality.
   Experience : Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Senior
   Resident/Registrar/Tutor/ Demonstrator in a Medical College/Teaching Institution.
2. Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering
   No. of posts : 1
   Place of posting : Goa College of Engineering
   Pay scale : Rs. 8000 – 13500/-
   Age limit : Maximum 40 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses 1st class masters degree in the relevant branch of
   Engineering/Technology .
3. Professor in Architecture
   No. of posts :  1
   Place of posting : Goa College of Architecture
   Pay scale : Rs. 16400 – 22400/-
   Age limit : Maximum 50 years
   Qualification : Candidate should be graduate in Architecture, followed by Master’s Degree in Architecture/Planning with minimum 60% marks at either Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree level and Ph.D. in Architecture/Planning or published research works in referred journals/ significant professional work, which can be considered equivalent to Ph.D.

Note : Knowledge of Marathi is desirable.
