Dr. Shakuntala Misra Rehabilitation University ( DSMRU ) was established in 2008 as a state funded University in Lucknow to develop as a center of excellence in the field of Higher Education. About 2% of people are disable , so keeping in view their special needs and to make them educated and self-dependent this university was setup by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Its main aim is to facilitate & promote studies, research & extension work in the emerging areas including rehabilitation courses with focus on visual impairment, hearing impairment, mental retardation, rehabilitation through engineering/technology, community based rehabilitation, rehabilitation psychology, speech & hearing, loco motors and cerebral palsy, autism, spectrum disorder, rehabilitation therapy, vocational counseling rehabilitation, social work/administration etc. through conventional teaching and distance education system.

DSMRU invites applications for the various teaching and non – teaching positions and teh details are as following :

1. Professors
   No. of vacancies : 11 posts
   Pay scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with Average Grade Pay of Rs. 10000/-
2. Reader
   No. of vacancies : 14 posts
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with Average Grade Pay of Rs. 6000/-
3. Lecturer
   No. of vacancies : 27 posts
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with Average Grade Pay of Rs. 6000/-
4. Instructor
   No. of vacancies : 2 posts
   Pay scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-
5. Computer Operator Grade II
   No. of vacancies : 2
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/-
