Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL) was established at Hyderabad in 1963 to meet the needs of complex metals and materials required for modern sophisticated warfare weapons systems. It has developed competence in the areas of powder metallurgy based fabrication and development of alloys, armor and rocket motor steel, aerospace light alloys, and magnetic materials, Ultra-high-strength steel with the toughness combination equivalent to maraging steel; this steel has been used to build rocket motor casings for the Akash surface-to-air missiles. Its vision is be a center of excellence for providing total materials solutions for defence systems and its mission is to to pursue the development of innovative materials and process technologies, related product engineering, supported by research in the fundamental and applied aspects of materials.

Applications are invited for the following positions of Junior Research Fellows ( JRF) at DMRL, Hyderabad :

Junior Research Fellows
Chemistry
Posts: 1
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 28 years as on the date of Interview.
Qualification: Candidates should have a M.Sc Degree in Chemistry (Inorganic) with at least 60% marks.
Physics
Posts: 1
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 28 years as on the date of Interview.
Qualification: Candidates should have a M.Sc Degree in Physics/ Material Science with at least 60% marks.
Metallurgy
Posts: 2
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 28 years as on the date of Interview.
Qualification: Candidates should have a B.E./ B.Tech in Metallurgy with at least 60% marks.

Desirable : Candidates who have qualified CSIR/NET/UGC/GATE examination will be given preference.
Stipend: Candidates will get Stipend of Rs.12000/- p.m for first and 2nd year. Rs.14000/- for 3rd year.
Note: The age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates.
