Border Security Force ( BSF ) was setup on 1st December 1965 by Shri K. F. Rustamji. It is established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs. He was also the first chief of BSF. The main duty of BSF is the Security of border of India and matters related therewith. In the last few years the BSF has, in addition to their duties, been deployed for counter insurgency and internal security duties. Each and every year it contributes a number of personnel for services for UN Mission in Kosovo and Bosnia.

BSF water wing invites applications for the posts of Group B and Group C and the details are as following:

1. Senior Aircraft Mechanic ( Inspector )
   No. of posts: 4
   Pay scale: Candidate will get the salary of Rs. 9300- 34800/- with GP of Rs.4600/-
2. Junior Aircraft Mechanic ( Sub Inspector )
   No. of posts: 5
   Pay scale: Candidate will get the salary of Rs. 9300-34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-
3. Junior Radio Mechanic ( Sub Inspector )
   No. of posts: 2
   Pay scale: Candidate will get the salary of Rs. 9300-34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-
4. Assistant air craft Mechanic ( Assistant Sub-Inspector )
   No. of posts: 1
   Pay scale: Candidate will get the salary of Rs. 5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2800/-
5. CT ( Store man )
   No. of posts: 2
   Pay scale: Candidate will get the salary of Rs. 5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2600/-

Last Date: 21st June 2010
Application fees: Candidates those are applying has to pay application fees of Rs. 50/- in the form of Postal Order or Bank DD in favour of “DDO HQ DG BSF” payable at SBI service branch at New Delhi code no. 7687.
