The Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, (DIAT) was setup in 1952 as the Institute of Armament Studies and it was renamed as DIAT on 1st April 2006. It is a center of Excellence of international repute for Education, Training & research in Advanced Technologies with a view to strengthen national security and self reliance. DIAT Pune invites applications from Indian Nationals for the following positions :

1. Deputy Librarian
   No. of posts : 1
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with GP of Rs. 7600/-
   Age limit : Maximum 55 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Masters Degree in Library Science / Information Science Documentation with minimum 55% of the marks
   Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience as an Assistant University Librarian / College Librarian. OR Evidence of innovative Library services, published work and professional commitment, computerization of Library. And candidates with M. Phil / Ph. D Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript-keeping, Computerization of Library .
2. Scientific Officer
   No. of posts : 3 + 2
   Pay scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with GP of Rs. 5400/-
   Age limit : Maximum 40 years
   Qualification : Candidatd should have the degree of B.Sc OR 3 years full time diploma in required discipline with minimum 1st class or its equivalent grade duly recognized by board of technical examination and the knowledge of computer application.
   Experience : 5 years of experience at the grade/scale equivalent of pay the beginning of which is not less than Rs.4600 in concerned field.
3. Laboratory Officer
   No. of posts : 5 + 5
   Pay scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with GP of Rs. 4600/-
   Age limit : Maximum 35 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses the degree of B.Sc OR 3 years of diploma in required discipline with the knowledge of computer applications and operations.
   Experience : 4 years of experience at the grade/scale equivalent of pay the beginning of which is not less than Rs.4200 in concerned field.
4. Laboratory Superintendent
   No. of posts : 10 + 10
   Pay scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with GP of Rs. 4200/-
   Age limit : Maximum 32 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses degree of B.Sc OR 3 years of diploma in required discipline with the knowledge of computer applications and operations.
   Experience : 4 years of experience at the grade/scale equivalent of pay the beginning of which is not less than Rs.2800 in concerned field.
5. Senior laboratory Assistant
   No. of posts : 15 + 15
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2800/-
   Age limit : Maximum 30 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses degree of B.Sc OR 3 years of diploma in required discipline with the knowledge of computer applications and operations.
   Experience : 2 years of experience at the grade/scale equivalent of pay the beginning of which is not less than Rs.2400 in concerned field.
6. Laboratory Assistant
   No. of posts : 6 + 47
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2400/-
   Age limit : Maximum 28 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses degree of B.Sc OR 3 years of diploma in required discipline with the knowledge of computer applications and operations.
7. Superintendent
   No. of posts : 3 + 3
   Pay scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with GP of Rs. 4600/-
   Age limit : Maximum 35 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses bachelors degree and candidates with PG degree in Social Science or Commerce / M.Phil / Degree in Law obtained after graduation / MBA in HR or Finance or Systems / MCM, MCS, MCA / MPM or equivalent (Awarded by University recognized by UGC or AICTE) or SAS will be preferred.
   Experience : 4 years of experience of administration /Accounts/Secretarial work. Preferably in a Junior Supervisory post in Government Department / University / Education or Research Institution.
8. Executive Assistant
   No. of posts : 4 + 4
   Pay scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with GP of Rs. 4200/-
   Age limit : Maximum 30 years
   Qualification : Candidate should be graduate with speed of 8000 key depressions per hour for Data Entry in the computer. And candidates with PG degree in Social Science or Commerce / M.Phil / Degree in Law obtained after graduation / MBA in HR or Finance or Systems / MCM, MCS, MCA / MPM or equivalent (Awarded by University recognized by UGC or AICTE) or SAS will be preferred.
   Experience : 3 years of experience at the grade/scale equivalent of pay the beginning of which is not less than Rs.2800 in concerned field.
9. Senior Assistant
   No. of posts : 10+10
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2800/-
   Age limit : Maximum 30 years
   Qualification : Candidate should be graduate with speed of 8000 key depressions per hour for Data Entry in the computer. And candidates with Degree in Law / Post graduation Social Science or Commerce / P.G. Diploma in Business Management, Tax Law/Labour Laws will be preferred.
   Experience : 3 years of experience at the grade/scale equivalent of pay the beginning of which is not less than Rs.2800 in concerned field.
10. Senior Driver
    No. of posts : 1
    Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2800/-
    Age limit : Maximum 55 years
    Experience : At least 5 years of experience as Driver Grade „B‟.
11. Driver Grade ‘B’
    No. of posts : 4
    Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2400/-
    Age limit : Maximum 55 years
    Qualification : Candidate should be 10th pass with valid driving license for two/three wheelers and light and heavy vehicles.
    Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience.
12. Fire Superintendent
    No. of posts : 1
    Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2400/-
    Age limit : Maximum 55 years
    Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience as Fireman „B‟.
13. Fireman ‘B’
    No. of posts : 3 + 1
    Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2000/-
    Age limit : 31 years
    Qualification : Candidate should posses HSC diploma in any branch of fire engineering recognized by government, a valid driving license for light and heavy vehicles.
    Experience : 3 years of experience.
14. Sr. Library Assistant
    No. of posts : 3
    Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2800/-
    Age limit : Maximum 55 years
    Experience : 5 years service as Library Assistant.
