The Telecom Communications was established on 11th April 1989. The department of telecommunications give licenses for various telecom services like Unified Access Service Internet and VSAT service and is also responsible for frequency management in the field of radio communication in close coordination with the international bodies. The multi-pronged strategies followed by the Telecom Commission have not only transformed the very structure of this sector but have motivated all the partners to contribute in accelerating the growth of the sector. It also provides financial assistance for the furtherance of research and study in telecommunications technology and for building up adequately trained manpower for telecoms programme.

Department of Telecommunications ( DOT ) invites applications for the following posts :

• Chairman cum Managing Director BSNL
• Chairman cum Managing Director MTNL

No. of posts : Both These posts are Schedule “A” posts as per Department of Public Enterprises (DPE)
Pay scale : Rs. 80000 – 125000/- per month plus other benefits.
