Coal Mining first started in India is 1815. Coal Mining through National sector first started w.e.f 01.10.1956 with the establishment of National Coal Development Corporation. In the year 1975 there is re-organisation of CMAL as Coal India Ltd. Central Division of CMAL was known as Central Coalfields Limited. The major consumer of CCL are Steel, Power, Cement, Fertilizers in the national and state sectors and several private industries. CCL is one of the major employers in the Nation having manpower of 70651.

Jr. Overman
Posts: 148
Qualification: Candidates should have a Valid Overmanship Certificate of Competency from Director General of Mines Safety under Coal Mines Regulation 1957 or any other relevant certificate which entitled to work as Overman as per Coal Mines Regulation 1957.
Dy. Surveyor (Mining)
Posts: 40
Qualification: Candidates should pass Matriculation with Mines Survey Certificate of Competency issued by Director General of Mines Safety for working in Coal Mines.
Mining Sirdar
Posts: 176
Qualification: Candidates should have a Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency from Director General of Mines Safety under Coal Mine Regulation 1957 or any other Certificate which entitle to work as Mining Sirdar as per Coal Mines Regulation 1957.
Note: Age limit: Candidates should be between 18-30 years as on 1.04.2010.
