BIRAP Recruitment 2010


Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Programme (BIRAP), a programme of Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, in partnership with ABLE and BCIL. It has been formed to promote, nurture and incubate innovation and excellence in the Biotechnology Industry. BIRAP is an autonomous, dynamic and flexible organisation to support the growth of small and medium enterprises. Its vision is to become an autonomous operational structure which can operate with a unique methodology nurturing the high risked projects which hold potential of commercialization.

BIRAP invites applications for the following positions :

Program Manager – Intellectual Property
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.35000/- p.m consolidated.
Qualification : Candidates should have M.Sc / M.Tech degree with first Division / Ph.d in Life Sciences with a good knowledge of Intellectual Property rights and should be expert in patents.
Experience: Candidates should have a work experience of 3-4 years in the relevant field.
Program Manager – Technology Transfer
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.35000/- p.m. consolidated.
Qualification: Candidates should have M.Sc/ M.Tech degree with first Division/ Ph.d in Life Science with a good knowledge of Technology Transfer, Intellectual property.
Experience: Candidates should have a work experience of 3-4 years in the relevant field.

The above posts are on contractual basis initially for a period of 1 year and may be further extendable.
