Bank of India Recruitment for Clerks 2010


The Bank of India ( BOI ) was established on 7th September 1906. It has 3101 branches in India spread over all states/ union territories including 141 specialized branches. These branches are controlled through 48 Zonal Offices . There are 29 branches/ offices (including three representative offices) abroad. It is the largest and the no. one commercial bank of the country. Its head office is situated in Mumbai. Its main aim is to provide superior, proactive banking services to niche markets globally, while providing cost-effective, responsive services to others in our role as a development bank, and in so doing, meet the requirements of our stakeholders.

Applications are invited by Bank of India for the Clerical posts on contract basis and teh details are as under :

No. of vacancies : 2467 posts
Pay scale : Rs. 7200 – 19300/- plus other allowances
Age limit : Minimum 18 and maximum 28 years
Qualification : Candidate should have got minimum 50% marks in 12th STD with 10+2+3 pattern or 11th class under 10+4 pattern OR should be graduate from any stream and preference will be given to the candidates with Foundation course of Computer Awareness & Office Automation for minimum 3 months and also should have the knowledge of regional language.

Selection Procedure : Candidates has to undergo through a written test and an interview. Those who will clear the written test will be called for a interview in teh ratio of 1:3. The final selection will be made by preparing state-wise merit list, depending on their performance.

Application fees : The application fee of Rs.300/- has to be paid at any of the Bank of India branches before 5th August, using the challan given at the website.
