AP High Court Recruitment for Judges 2010


The High Court of Andhra Pradesh stands on the south bank of river Musi. The Building of AP high Court was inaugurated on 20th April 1920 . Its plan was drawn by Shanker lal of Jaipur and the local engineer Mehar ali Fazil. AP high Court was established in 1956. The High Court hears the first appeal from the decision of the District Courts and in some cases from decision of Sub – Courts. There are 20 Court Halls and 24 Chambers located in the High Court main building and Annexe buildings.

Andhra Pradesh State Judicial services invites applications for the post of District and Session Judges ( Entry Level ) and the details are as follows :

District and Session Judges
No. of vacancies : 18 posts
Pay scale : Rs. 51550 – 1230- 58930 – 1380 – 63070/-
Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 45 years of age as on 1st August 2010
Qualification : Candidate should be an advocate not less than 7 years standing at the bar.
Mode of selection : Selection will be based on written examination.
Probation Period : 1 year

Last date for the receipt of application : 3rd September 2010
Application fees : Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- drawn in favour of Registrar ( recruitment ), High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad.
